Recent Hawthorn Wyndham Review: "We really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk staff was super friendly and even allowed us to check in early (thankfully - since we had been on the road since 4 am!) Our room was clean, and actually had more amenities than we knew about - including a microwave and fridge. The bathroom was clean, which is a HUGE thing for me. The bed was seriously  the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever been in. I usually toss and turn all night in a hotel trying to get comfortalble - not the case at all. We honestly didn't want to get up the next morning. If I had to play devil's advocate and point out any negatives, it would be that the internet seemed to run pretty slowly. Since it was free it didn't really bother us, but if you plan to be "working' while you are there it could be an issue. The A/C also seemed to not work all that well as the night went on. We survived since it was November, so it was slightly less hot than normal in Texas, but I'm not sure how it would have done in the hottest part of summer. Other than those minor issues, there isn't really anything negative to say. We are already talking about trying to take a more relaxing trip to Corpus, and we've pretty much decided this is the hotel that we want to stay at."
