| Staff was extra polite and helpful in accommodating all our needs. My sister stayed next door at The Red Roof in a smoking room and couldn't stay another night because she said it was nasty. So they brought us a cot so she could stay with us (no charge). Lobby was nice!! Everything was great except for the water pressure in the shower. Maybe it was the shower head but it didn't spray strong. But it was a wonderful hotel all in all. |

| Great hotel overall! Centralized location and friendly staff. One downside, no complimentary breakfast!! There is a breakfast service offered but is very expensive. There are a few fast food restaurants within walking distance that served affordable breakfast. |

| The Hilton Garden Inn of Corpus Christi, TX is definitely nicer than most of the beach area hotels around there. (People tend to tear up rooms in a beach town.) This hotel is well kept and not right on a busy street. It was a nice breakfast with friendly staff. Non smoking and pet free. That is a plus.
Would choose this hotel again. The traffic on S.P.I.D,. is congested which is why we rated the surrounding area a 3. |

| For this specific hotel, I expected breakfast since its appearance was that of other chain hotels ie. Ramada where you get a full hot breakfast. |

| We were happy to know that we could get an evening meal (according to the hotel literature). Arriving back after a long day out we were informed that the "Grill" was closed and we were not happy to have to go out again to dine. We can't understand why we were not told of this when we checked in that day.Other than that the hotel was what we expected and the breakfast was exceptional. |

| Mostly a 4 - 5 in terms of the hotel's condition, cleanliness, etc. In many ways, the hotel is on the ordinary side. I just wanted a clean, quiet, functional place to stay, convenient to beaches, museums, shopping, etc, for a reasonable price, and the HGI gets a solid 5-star rating in those areas. The staff are friendly, helpful and very customer-oriented.
I originally wanted to stay at a beach-front hotel, but in doing my homework, the beach-front hotels all seemed to have major issues with maintenance, cleanliness, staffing / service, or all of the above.
I'll stay at the HGI again next time. |
